Cool Chips plc common shares were cleared for trading in the United States by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) on 24 April 2002. Quotes are available on The symbol is COLCF.

Cool Chips plc owns and develops solid-state cooling technologies providing active cooling by causing electrons to pass through a gap. The technology is under development and will be essential to a broad range of industries as diverse as aerospace, semiconductors, transportation and white goods.

Cool Chips™ are based on fundamentally superior science. Innate device advantages include: high efficiency, solid state design, silent operation, and compact size for easy integration. The technology is protected by an extensive patent portfolio.

The Cool Chips™ technology was recently evaluated by a major aerospace company which said: “The evaluation...showed that the principles under which the new Cool Chips™ technology operate are sound, that the measured physical data complied with the theory, and that further development and evaluation are needed.”

Cool Chips™ are compact electronic devices similar in appearance to computer chips. When an electric current is applied, one side of the chip becomes cold and the other side hot, as electrons pass across a gap separating the two sides. Theoretical efficiencies are much higher than those of conventional cooling systems, while considerable heat can be pumped across a small surface area.

Heat management problems are critical in many industries, and Cool Chips plc is seeking to license this technology to manufacturers of a wide range of industrial applications. Cool Chips plc is currently in talks with leading companies in the aerospace, automobile, computer, telephony and white goods sectors.

Extensive information about Cool Chips™ may be found on the Cool Chips plc web site at, including a calculator to determine the efficiency of the technology for any given temperature range.

The Cool Chips™ technology is protected by a broad patent portfolio. This coverage extends to include a vast array of techniques related to this unique thermal management system, which offers solutions for nearly any thermal management application.

Cool Chips plc (COLCF), based in Gibraltar, is a majority-owned subsidiary of Borealis Exploration Limited (BOREF). Borealis Exploration Limited has 4,959,262 shares outstanding. Borealis’ business is reinventing the core technologies used by basic industries, including electric motors, steelmaking, electrical power generation, and cooling and thermal management.

Cool Chips plc has 7,281,785 shares outstanding.
